I am at the New Marketing Summit 2008 conference at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, today. The first speaker sent condolences to Jive Software (a vendor of ours), for the 40 or so folks who were cut from the company. I went over to the Jive booth to inquire.
The person there told me that their company is in good shape, but their VC -- Sequoia Capital -- have warned all of their CEOs to slash costs now, in preparation for a gloomy next couple of years for tech companies.
